Cannon Beach Sand Castles
March 11, 2008
Last week I was in the Portland area for work. I had a flight voucher from getting bumped off a flight last year, so for about $50 Sara was able to join me for a few days and have a mini-vacation. On Sunday we drove over to Cannon Beach to check out the sights. It was well worth the drive! I guess Portland/the Pacific Northwest is officially on our “List” of places we want to live.

Link Dump:
- I submitted a photo to the critique section of PopularPhotography’s blog. They selected it for the “Your Photo/Our Critique” feature last week, so head over if you want to see some “professional” comments on one of my Uganda pics. 4 Stars ain’t too shabby…
- Last year I had the privilege of working with the Innocence Project of Texas. They have recently unveiled a new website, and you can see some of the exonoree portraits I took for them in the flash video on their front page. I love the “prison doors opening” thing they added, and I’m so happy to have helped out a little in getting their message out. I look forward to working with them again. Head over and check out the good work they’re doing.

I’ve told Darren that if we ever move away from the Pacific NW, it will be the first time I’ll ever be really, really saddened about a move. The way of life here seeps into your core.
If you do ever make the move (and I highly recommend it), be prepared to stay for awhile.

Nice shot on Cannon Beach, I’ve stood on almost that exact spot and looked in that very same direction. There’s some great seafood in the area, as I’m sure you found out.
