“We Have Blood on Our Hands”

That was the message presented by a handful of students this morning during an anti-war protest at Abilene Christian University. The protest coincided with the United Nations International Day of Peace. You can see more photos from the event at my flickr site.

Why is Jesus holding a sign saying that He is a dead Iraqi child? Is He trying to confuse us? Again?

So this small group of students was protesting just outside Moody Coliseum as the majority of the student body went in to chapel. Most of the students were oblivious or ignored the protesters. A few gave thumbs up signs. What I really don’t get are those that insulted or ridiculed the protesters, like the student who said, “The people they should be bombing are YOU!” What?? Can people really say things like that and then go to worship and praise God? How does that work?
